It’s heating up, the trees are turning green and the pubs are starting to overflow with sun worshippers desperate for a glimpse of rays with a cold bevvy. It’s the most exciting time of the season – waking up each morning to check if today is the day the sandals come out, and the jackets come off.
While London is a truly magical place in the sunshine (there is a buzz of gratefulness to the weather and the activities we can finally undergo: the beach, glorious walks around the many parks, rooftop bars and pubs – in tight-less dresses, even in the evening!) we are all hoping to get away now that travel restrictions have lifted. So, in this weeks’ blog, we chat to the team about where they’re going away this year, and the ultimate summer holiday lipstick shades they’re taking with them.

I’m very excited to be visiting Bali for the first time this summer! I’m in need of some much needed R&R, and what better place than this tropical island? With crystal clear water and a much more slowed down way of life, I’m sure I’ll get the relaxation I need. Whilst away, I don’t like to wear much makeup, so I’m taking a shade that looks like my lips but better, for a glam and natural look, day or night.

This year I am going to New York for the very first time, and excited doesn’t even cut it. Growing up watching my favourite shows set in this lively city, I have always wanted to experience it for myself!
As I’m going for 6 days, I want a shade that is versatile enough to suit all outfits, whether I’m strolling round Central Park, drinking cocktails in some local haunts or checking out some of the amazing restaurants (or food trucks) the city has to offer.
I need a lipstick shade that is going to be the finishing touch, and, as the days will be full of activities, that is also going to be multi-purpose so I can add a subtle flush on the go or a hint of colour to my eyes to take me from day to night.

My go to look for any sunny holiday is fresh, tanned skin, a slick of mascara and an orange toned bright lipstick. The orange undertone brings out my tan and makes my eyes pop and the colour shouts sunshine! A statement lip is an absolute holiday essential for me so I can spend minimal time getting ready and maximum time on the beach or with a cocktail and still look glam.
