Whether we’re going on holiday, catching up with friends and family, or taking this time for ourselves, we’re selective about the things we are taking along for the ride – and we’re sharing them with you! From everyday essentials, to those “I can’t go anywhere without” products, find out the must-haves we’re carrying around with us this bank holiday weekend.
Rachael – Head of Sales & Marketing
I am off to London for work for the week and looking forward to spending the bank holiday in the city! I always make sure I have my laptop, Luxor Gloss Lip, mascara, my Tangle-Teezer, travel size dry shampoo, eyebrow brush and setting gel, and lastly my Bioderma travel size with cotton pads to refresh and cleanse throughout the day! I find you never know where the city will take you after a day working, usually my friends and I end the day with a drink or two!
Fenella – Digital Editor
I have a short trip to The Pig in New Forest planned to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. I want to squeeze in walks around the forest, gorgeous al fresco lunches by the water and at least one formal dinner, so my bag will have to work hard to cater for all these different scenarios! I’ll make sure I have my sunglasses, my trustee Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer, and a lipstick in a shade slightly darker than my natural lip colour that can be dabbed onto my lips for a subtle touch of colour in the day, but that can be applied straight from the bullet for more of a glam look in the evenings.

I’ll be spending the bank holiday in my birthplace, Uganda. No matter what I get up to, I’ll be sure to have my camera on me to preserve magical moments with friends and family, and to capture my trip which will inspire me creatively. It’ll be hot, so my bag will contain sunglasses SPF and my Emolyne Gloss Lip in fiery Casablanca – my favourite for sunny weather!

I’m using this bank holiday weekend to get some much-needed R&R. It’s been a busy few months with countless events, meetings and travelling for work, so I’m taking this time to unwind. I’m hoping the weather will be nice so I can enjoy some nice walks and rosé in the garden, and by night treat myself to some pampering. Therefore, I won’t be using my bag necessarily, but I will have some great skincare to hand, as well as enjoying a new bath oil I have bought especially for the occasion!

This bank holiday weekend I am dancing the night away with my friends. I will only have a small bag, so I will only be packing the essentials! In there I have my bank card and ID, my bronzer and bronzing brush for those quick touch ups, my favourite Emolyne lip gloss in shade Marrakech to keep my lips looking extra glossy and my disposable camera to capture the funny moments.

I have a busy bank holiday of doing some gorgeous brides’ makeup for their big days. My go to handbag essentials (for myself and also bridal touch ups) are breath mints, Luxor lipstick (I’ve yet to meet someone this doesn’t suit!), blotting papers, lots of snacks, my Veja trainers and Casablanca Lip Gloss for myself as it gives the impression I’m instantly put together without too much effort!
