Black History Month 2022 + WIN! With Emolyne Cosmetics

October marks the beginning of Black History Month in the UK – the annual celebration of people of black heritage, their rich history and their achievements and contributions to our society. It’s a month that we proudly support and sits close to our hearts here at Emolyne Cosmetics, as a black-owned brand. Having started over a hundred years ago in the USA, and first recognised in the UK in 1980, it quickly became regarded as one of the most prominent cultural celebrations of the year. Black History Month is a prime time to educate the world and enrich our knowledge with the importance of Black history.

There are many activities and events going on throughout the month in London and further afield to celebrate and educate, from food festivals and music workshops to exhibitions and seminars. Spreading the importance of Black history helps to encourage racial equality and eradicate discrimination. As a brand, we want to raise awareness of inequality; we pride ourselves in welcoming all people – no matter your age, skin colour, or gender – to discover Emolyne Cosmetics as we continue to be an inclusive brand, catering to everybody.

This Black History Month, we are running a competition to celebrate the future of Black beauty by offering a career accelerating prize worth over £2,000 for an aspiring Black MUA or beauty influencer to help build their kit and skills, providing the tools needed in a sometimes inaccessible industry.
